  • Welcome to the website for St Peter and St Paul, Abington – “the Church in the Park”. We are a community of Anglican Christians from nearby and around the town and surrounding villages who centre our activities on our main Sunday worship at 10am on a Sunday morning.

We serve our community and witness to Christ with a variety of things we do together – “Tots & Teddies” for pre-school children, a Sunday School and a Young Christians group. We have a choir and bell ringers and there is a Guide Group, including Rainbows and Brownies associated with the church who meet in our parish rooms as well as many other groups and activities and events. Many local people have celebrated or commemorated memorable events in the life of their families at the church over many generations.

We believe any church exists to make new disciples of Christ and at Abington there are opportunities to learn more about the Christian faith and grow in it, and worship in less formal surroundings as well. You can be sure of a warm welcome and a listening ear at Abington Church.

Rev'd Philip Ball retired at the end of October  and we are pleased that Bishop of Peterborough has announced that the Rev'd Byung Jun Kim has been offered and accepted the post of Rector of Abington and will be Collated and Inducted  by the Bishop of Peterborough on 23rd March 2019.
