Charities supported

As a church we support local, national and international charities, through collections at our Christmas services, the annual Christian Aid street collection, and charities we choose to support as a PCC through the work of our Fundraising Committee. In the last two years we we have supported the following:

We collect for Christian Aid through the Annual street collection. In 2013, the people of Abington raised over £1,300.


The Hope Centre provides accommodation for homeless people and we provide gifts of food from our Harvest Service.

Many members of our church subscribe regularly to the work of the Children’s Society and our annual Christingle service goes towrdss the work of the Children’s Society.

As part of our link with the Diocese of Bungoma, in 2013 we are supporting the Geoff and Diannah Charitable Trust who fund water and educational  projects in Bungoma.

In 2013 we also supported the purchase of a motorbicycle for a curate in the Diocese of Bungoma.

In 2011 we contributed towards two shelter boxes as part of the Rotary Club Northampton Appeal which were sent to Haiti.
